Since Microsoft decided to forego the file sync, some one else had to do it.

And thank goodness they did.

Rubber Stamped Data Sync check it out @

The application allows you to sync any file from your pc to any location on your Smartphone.

It's a MUST HAVE.

Rubber Stamp Data's Sync tool is really good. I've played with it a little, but I haven't pulled the trigger on buying it yet. I don't sync many files right now. That's all due to change shortly, but...

It still gets me mad that Microsoft left the file sync functionality out of the Smartphone. I really don't see the logic in this decision.

Agreed. I can't figure out why they left it off myself. I use FlexWallet on my PPc and I purchased it for my Smartphone also. I wanted the sync functionaity and I knw that 2peaks depended on the MSfile sync so I tried it with my flexwallet and it worked. So I purchased it. Now I'm looking for other stuff to sync.

FlexWallet has a sync conduit they made for the wallets on the smartphone. It's pretty good, if you don't already have a means to sync files.

You still need RSD's tool because the FlexWallet one is made for the wallet only. Which makes sense from the developers point of view, but you'll really end up needing something more. And thank God for RSD's work. :)

I'm currently using MightySync (http://www.mydocsunlimited.com/html/mightysync.html) for syncing. Currently only on my PPC.

How does RSD's tool compare?

I've never heard of MightySync. Are you sure this works on the Smartphone? I don't see any mention of Windows Mobile Smartphone on their website (Although, I haven't looked overly hard. ;) )

Hmm...
Sounds like an assumption on my part. I've never even tried.
Perhaps I should give it a try.

MightySync does not work for Smartphone or, I'd be writing a recommendation for that.

I use MightySync for my PPC as well.

Thanks.

I guess that makes RSD better. :D
