<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://laptopmag.com/Review/Audiovox-SMT5600.htm' target='_blank'>http://laptopmag.com/Review/Audiovox-SMT5600.htm</a><br /><br /></div><i>"Billed as the world';s smallest Windows Mobile phone, the Audiovox SMT5600 is a smart buy for those who want all of their Outlook contacts, calendar, e-mail, and other PIM data readily accessible on their phone but don';t want to carry around a PDA-sized device. This handset is also a great entertainer because of its compatibility with the new Windows Media Player 10. Put simply, there are few smart phones that are as good as this one for work and play. Weighing 3.6 ounces and measuring less than an inch thick, the SMT5600 is definitely one of the most pocketable smart phones yet."</i><br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Audiovox-Logo.jpg" alt="User submitted image" title="User submitted image"/> <br /><br />Overall it looks like the Audiovox has nailed down the "Editors Choice" and walks away with a 4 out of 5 stars. The only things that Tim Kridel from Laptop Magazine didn't like about the SMT5600 was the camera, and the navigation control. I can totally agree with the camera comments, but it's not like I bought the phone for the camera. I'll stick to using my Canon S400 for any real pictures I want to snap. :) And while the navigation control does take some getting use to, in the long run, I actually prefer this to the old joystick on my Tanager.

I wonder who started the mini sd size limit myth, but it's annoying to read over and over. Shows how little research these clowns do and how much auto-regurgitation goes on in this cut n paste world .

I think the reviewers refer to the SMT5600s manual.
Maybe Audiovox and Cingular will update the manual with 1GB mini-SD card support.

Typically when a new product is released the manufacturer can only test expansion cards with the current max size sold on the market. Since there are no 512 cards at the time this was released they just say it supports 256.
Look at the Sony Memory stick, If the manufacturer had just said supports Memory stick, they would have been burned when Sony changed the format to allow greater capacity on their cards.

Here is a small beef I have that maybe you can help me out with...
Say I'm looking at getting this phone, but it is not offered in the area I live (which is something I totally cannot comprehend - why a NATHONWIDE cell company doesn't offer all there phones - well nation-wide) how do I go about getting this cool device?
If I went through amazon to buy this I won't have to pay a dime but unfortunetly I can't buy it becuase the phone is not offered in my calling area - :bad-words:
