Hi, I'm Marlof Bregonje from The Netherlands. Some of you might know me from my activities for our sister site Pocket PC Thoughts (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com), where I've been reporting on everything concerning Pocket PCs as a contributing editor. As I've always been into connectivity when it comes to mobile devices, I also have been highly interested in Windows Mobile Smartphones ever since they were launched. Now that I've finally gotten a Smartphone of my own (more on that later) and can experience that platform myself, I'll be joining the excellent staff at Smartphone Thoughts next to my activities for Pocket PC Thoughts. As a relatively newbie, I'll have a lot of exploration to do in the wonderous Smartphone world. Whatever good (or bad) I'll find on those journeys, I'll make sure to keep you informed. Next to that, I'm really looking forward to play a more active role in this great community.

Welcome to the team Marlof. I've been reading your posts on PPCT for a long time. I'm excited to have you join us, and I'm looking forward to reading your SPT posts now too!

Welcome aboard, Marlof. Good to have a Pocket PC convert. ;-) Or wannabe convert.

Or wannabe convert.
I'm definitely in the wannabe department. Currently my Smartphone is my main device, just because I want to find out how much one can depend on it. So far so good. But if a good Pocket PC (Phone Edition) is released, I'll probably buy that next to the Smartphone. But that's just my addiction. :D

I guess Marlof's too good to keep all to ourselves.
Congrats, Marlof. This now makes two of us that have migrated from Pocket PC Phones to Smartphones. I still carry my e805, though. Do you carry a Pocket PC right now? I can't remember. ;)

Janak: hush, but I didn't migrate from a PPC Phone. I migrated from a -gulp- palmOne Treo 600. And yes, I still carry a Pocket PC, currently the HP iPAQ 2215. I'm constantly eyeing the newer VGA devices, but I think I'll wait some more. Unless things get uncontrolable, and I end up buying that hx4700 I've been lusting after.

I still carry my iPAQ 4100, but I don't have that lust for a new Pocket PC like I have in the past. Partly because of the Smartphone taking a larger role, and partly because of the poor design of the new iPAQ's. I'm rather disappointed with the new styling. In all honesty, if I got WiFi on my Smartphone, I could easily ditch the Pocket PC all together. 8)

The future BenQ Pocket PC Phone Edition might tempt me because of its in-between formfactor.
Ever since I got my MPx220, I have started carrying my iPaq, only because I can use the BT to surf the web and take advantage of the bigger screen. But the iPaq stays in the car.
I want a detachable thumbpad style keyboard for my Smartphone...and WiFi.

Hey Marlof...sorry I crashed the party late - I've been a little busy the past few days.
But I just wanted to say "Congratulations" on joining another Thoughts team. I'm looking forward to your contributions on both PPCT and SPT now. :)
Oh...and "hello" from across the world. ;)
