It amazes me there's no Bluetooth in it though... :?

Aren't the V700 and the MPX 200 the same phone?

there's a big preview on the (English translation version of the) Mobile Review (http://www.mobile-review.com/preview/motorola-v700-en.shtml) site.

this was an interesting paragraph at the end - the next model with camera and Bluetooth (speculation or insider info?)...

Similar to the second smartphone from Mitac, Motorola will ship updated version of Motorola v700 in February. The main differences are in design, because of the hardware. Firstly, this phone will be equipped with an integrated camera; it is one of the shortcomings of v700. Secondly, the new version will support bluetooth. Finally, and the main novelty is that new OS will be Smartphone Edition 2003

since when did a new OS fpr a mobile device become a novelty?

No Bluetooth, No Camera... :( :!:

How about support for BSQUARE's SDIO Now! (http://www.bsquare.com/products/sdionow/default.asp)? Unfortunately, I don't see Motorola listed as one of the Licensees (http://www.bsquare.com/products/sdionow/licensees.asp) though... :(

since when did a new OS fr a mobile device become a novelty?

i think that's just a phrase lost in translation when they rewrote the original Russian article into English

Here's hoping it was lost in the translation.

It's going to be quite interesting when the first carrier in North America begins carrying a Smartphone. I hope they are shocked by the demand.

So Ramin - does that mean that the SD slot is SDIO?

Motorola MPx200 does not have built-in camera. They choose to use SD plug-in camera. It also shows that the phone supports SDIO accessories. The camera can take up to 640 x 480 quality of pictures, and 160 x 120 movie clips with sound.
