Following speculation concerning its specifications in the enthusiast community, details of Orange's next branded smartphone now appear to have inadvertedly been posted on the Orange France web site. Revealing that yet another successor to the original Orange SPV is in the works, the listing for the Orange SPV2 gives away not only that it runs Smartphone 2002, but also that it boasts long-anticipated built-in Bluetooth. <br /><br />Originally expected to run Smartphone 2003, or Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphone as the platform is likely to be rebranded, the SPV2 will according to the information on the Orange France web site offer Bluetooth despite the lack of native support for this under Smartphone 2002. The advent of wireless PAN is however not all that is new in the SPV2, as it also boasts an integrated digital camera with VGA resolution rather than the clip-on camera solutions of past SPV models."<br /><br />Given that the new Tanager-based SPV E100 was just recently released, it seems strange to have a new phone coming up so soon - and still running Smartphone 2002. Kudos to Orange for listening to customer demand for Bluetooth though - they evidently didn't want to wait for the Smartphone 2003 OS to come out.
