He has a good comparison of it with the original SPV and explains the new things that are bundled with the device. He concludes with this:<br /><br />"So the question you've all been asking... Is it worth getting rid of your SPV for? Yes and no. Basically, it is the same phone, with a nicer keypad and screen, but oh, what a screen! If you play games, or watch movies, you should go and upgrade now. The difference is incredible. If you text and mail a lot, the keypad is vastly improved. Hmmm, OK, I think i've convinced myself... you WANT this phone :)"

Hmmm. Well, isn't this just the same Tanager that is offered by other telcos around the world... since March 2003? :?

Yes, but the things that they are bundling with the "e100" is unique to Orange. Check out Paul's article for a description of those ;)

Uhuh...

Well it is still a software-locked device like the previous SPV which requires certified apps right?

The camera I have... it came with my Tanager, The PPCW.Net i-Mate has the camera. the case, and the cradle... the only thing lacking is the rollable keyboard...

So how much is this thing?

The Tanager is FREE in the Philippines if you get the US$24 a month plan. (SIM-Locked though)
