Here is a completely off topic question: How do you list a link for a song in Zune marketplace?

I see your HTML link to the song, but I don't know how to get that. If you click the 'share with a friend' link (in the marketplace) it brings up an email form. I tried to copy your link and substitute a song id number...but that doesn't seem to work either.

I know that iTunes is practically a default player for most people, but I expected MS to start releasing more tools for the zune market place. We see tons of links for songs in iTunes, as well as play list links and "What I'm listening to," and such, but zune has almost no tools out there.

I guess most of these things are made by the customer's themselves and with only 1.2 million people out there there just aren't enough zune users to come up with these tools. However, with MS trying to push windows live, live spaces, messenger and such...I just expected them to make a few tools themselves. A search through the live gallery has really no Zune items. I think the zune team would be well served to generate a few gadgets.

I use the "Tell a Friend" feature you spoke of, and enter my own e-mail address in both the sender and recipient fields. A new e-mail then appears in my inbox with a link to the song.

It's an incredibly primitive way of sharing store content links. I sincerely hope Microsoft takes a page out of Apple's book and implements something as simple as iTunes' "Copy Link" feature.

Ah ha!

I agree, a few little things would make all the difference.
