While Apple is trying to downplay hardware specifications, I do believe that it is still important, at least for the near term, as tablets and smartphones have not quite reached a point where increases in speed (or cores) is marginally noticable. The Galaxy Tab does come with some pretty powerful hardware, enough to keep things peppy for the next month or two, until you lose interest in your toy, and start craving the newest quad-core tablets running Android 4.0 Dried Mango.</p>
