"In his keynote speech at Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Conference, company COO Kevin Turner said that Apple's new iPhone, beset by antenna issues, "might be their Vista." Self-deprecation suits you well, Microsoft!"

Kevin Turner from Microsoft has openly compared the iPhone 4 to Windows Vista. Vista has been around since January 30, 2007, and was finally "fixed" in October 22, 2009 by the release of Windows 7. The iPhone 4 was released on June 24, 2010, and the first fixes have arrived less than a month after release. Interesting to hear them finally bashing their own product. How bad does something need to be to get lemon designation? Is the iPhone 4 a lemon?

Michael Knutson Contributing Editor Join Date: Dec 2004 Posts: 498		Microsoft claims hundreds of millions of Vista users; I wonder how many would immediately switch to Windows 7 if it were an easier upgrade. I personally skipped Vista entirely, and went to Windows 7 Professional when it was released. doogald Oracle Join Date: May 2003 Posts: 984		I guess that Microsoft couldn't call the iPhone 4 Apple's Kin, so they had to choose something else. I think that they are comparable; both Apple and Microsoft did a crap job from the start dealing with negative press and posts with the iPhone 4 and Vista, respectively.
