"Come on, come on, come out already! Since this is the launch week for the Verizon/Motorola/Google Android Droid X and Apple's iPhone 4, Microsoft trotted out a prototype Samsung phone running Windows Phone 7 last night to show folks that they're still in the smartphone game."
Like we've been reading over the past week, Microsoft is starting to show Windows Phone 7 on real hardware - though still prototype designs - and giving a select few the opportunity to experience what the new OS has to offer. Sascha Segan from PC Magazine helpfully shot a video of his experience using the device. So far it's looking pretty fast and solid, though until the code is finalized, it's too early to make any real judgements. Engadget also has a nice gallery of images of the Windows Phone 7 phone that they were sent.

Wow, that looks REALLY nice! I really like the "tile" design and how much information you can get at a glance. Pretty cool! Makes me kinda wish I could put WM7 on my iPhone 4.
