Default [APRIL FOOLS] Microsoft Announces Classic Mode for Windows Phone 7 Series

Die-hard Pocket PC fans, rejoice! Microsoft has just announced that come launch day, all Windows Phone 7 Series devices will be able to download Classic Mode from the Windows Phone Marketplace, an app that will allow you to run older apps designed for Windows Mobile 6.5.3 and earlier. The company has stated that it's primarily a virtualization layer, much like what the Windows XP Mode and Virtual PC combo is on Windows 7. So, if you've been lamenting the thought of your favourite app not making it on to Windows Phone 7 Series, lament no longer!

Still not as good as the one from a few years back announcing that Microsoft was selling Windows Mobile to Nokia...

Wow, for a minute there I truely believed it was true and was feeling a since of relief when looking at what I'm going to have to do to rewrite my apps.

Mean, but well played.

I'm still hoping the MS will announce that no cut and paste was really just an April fools joke.

Default Ha ha... you caught me..

I was just about to post a note saying "Microsoft heard us... I figured they would probably provide something like this within W7."

Good thing I read through the discussion first...
