Default SharePlug Makes Connecting To Your Far-away PC Easier

http://choung.net/SharePlug/

"When you activate SharePlug, it creates a virtual computer that represents your real computer back at home or office behind firewall. You can use this virtual computer to securely access Windows shared folders, Web server or any service running on the real computer that's compatible with TCP port forwarding. You don't need to sign-up for any monthly service or install software on every computer you wish to connect to. You simply need to setup a sharing gateway server on your remote site and run SharePlug."

At first glance, SharePlug sounds sorta magical. However it's actually a pretty simple app that lets you easily harness the power of SSH Port Forwarding (Think PocketPuTTY plus Port Forwarding & a good UI). If you can install an SSH server on it, you can access it through SharePlug. Sounds pretty useful for the $9.99 pricetag. You can find it (and literally hundreds of other apps) in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Default Where can I get this app?

This application does not seem to be available anywhere. The link on their website to marketplace results in an error. Searching marketplace on my HD2 (several different regions inc. UK and US) shows no results. This app looks like it's going to make my mobile support life much easier no more micro remote desktop work server > remote desktop client server open telnet and type, I'll just be able to puTTY directly from the phone! Dream come true other vpn like solutions have always been pants.

Default Windows Phone Marketplace

Please correct me if I'm wrong but it's my understanding that "Windows Phone Marketplace" only works if you have a device using a version of WinMo that's *newer* than 6.1. Is that correct? So just to be really clear, I cannot access it or use it in any way if I have Windows Mobile 6.1, right?

Default Marketplace 6.1

To get Marketplace for a Windows Mobile 6.0 or 6.1 based device, customers can simply point their phones browser to http://mp.windowsphone.com to start the download process; from the Web, customers can visit http://windowsphone.com/getmarketplace or simply click http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobi...rketplace.mspx. Then browse and shop a wide range of quality applications for work and play; roughly 90% of the apps in our catalogue already support Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 devices.

Although as i mentioned in a previous post the app seems to be missing from the marketplace at the moment.
