Default PixyMe, a Quick Look and a Contest!

http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin...d348689353?mt=8

PixyMe is a fun little application for the iPod Touch or iPhone, that lets you modify various photos within the program. If what you find isn't what you need, you can use own photo library to create greetings that you can either email, post on Facebook or send via US Mail. If you have ever wanted to add some comments to a photo and send a special greeting, this may be just what you need.

When you first open the program, you get a variety of categories to choose from, such as Animals, Entertainment, Love and Travel. Or you can go to "Whats Hot" to see what the most popular selections have been or just go into your Favorites section that is composed of all the ones you have designated "Favorite" from within the program.

Figure 1: Pick your photo then customize with your own text.

As you can see from figure 1, I picked the image from the Holiday section. Once I touched the image it took me to the "Edit Text" section where I input my phrase, in this case "Hello Jeff." Once that was done I hit the "send" button in the top right and after a few seconds of the program updating the image it took me to the "Send Postcard" screen where I can choose between saving it, sending it via email, sending it anywhere in the world using the postcard option or just posting it to my Facebook profile. Very simple and it actually works quite well. The only problem I had was in using the email feature as it didn't always find the right email address from my address book on the iPhone. However, when I was choosing to send it via postcard, I had no problems finding what I needed. To be fair, the email problem didn't happen every time, just occasionally. All in all a very fun program that makes it easy to send some customized photos to your friends.

And now for the contest, as the folks from PixyMe have been generous enough to donate a couple of codes to redeem in the iTunes Store (US customers only, sorry). All you have to do is enter by replying to this post. If you are new to the forum give it up to 72 hours for your reply to post. The contest will run until February 28th at midnight, Pacific time and two winners will be drawn randomly from the replies. Good luck!
