Default Application Store With 100% Free Apps

http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/opnmarket/

There is a new third party application store for Windows Mobile called OpnMarket. All of the apps are free. Given the charges developers have for Microsoft own Marketplace, there should be a number developers that choose to place their apps here instead.

"OpnMarket is compatible with most of the Windows Mobile Professional devices with touch-screens, once installed it lets you browse, download and install FREE applications directly on your device. OpnMarket will use you mobile network connection or a WiFi connection to download softwares to your phone. It's simple, instant and FREE !"

"Instant free downloads for your Windows Mobile phone,
enjoy installing applications directly on your device !"

I agree, this is a jewel. I'm just wondering about the above statement though. Can you only install apps to your device? What about a storage card?

I guess I will have to give it a try and see.

Whoops, I just answered my own question. It does allow for programs to be installed on an SD card. I should have watched the video first.

It looks very snappy and I like the built-in My Apps section that shows you your installed apps, allows you to read and write reviews and has a built-in uninstaller. Very nice touch.

Indeed it's an excellent and much needed program.

I'd even pay for it; it's an awesome job they put into this. I'll see if they have a donation page/button on the site.

Make it three way to connect: I did also connect to the back end using my Activesync connection.

Upon installing TCPMP from the OpnMarket list, I got an error running the program. Does it have special requirements? Not sure if it installs everything needed. I seem to recall TCPMP had additional codecs of sort or other stuff.

Any idea?
