Am looking forward to trying the new Skyfire release.
Have been running Skyfire v1.1 on my Fuze, with mixed success: it has a set of built-in info that it pulls from selected sites & this generally comes up quickly - but if you venture into the general www, compatibility becomes an issue - as it does when trying to log on to some wifi access points (thinking specifically about several hotels we have stayed at within the past year, although the problem is also common with Opera Mobile - and from one site even IE!).
And somehow have never made friends with the revamped home page that v1.1 uses - liked the earlier (v0.9?) Skyfire opening page better, although that may be simply due to the lack of incentive to spend much time in configuration.
All-in-all, am more likely to use Opera Mobile, even though it sometimes fails to connect (or, more likely, is refused by the access point), & must then resort to IE.

I really like Skyfire, especially since it supports all major web standards, and use of flash, silverlight, etc. I think its funny how iPhone's beloved Safari can't do that natively. Understandably, the technology is different, but comparing the two, i really like Skyfire. I have been using this browser for a while, i think it beat Torch Mobile's Iris Browser (R.I.P, now its under RIM). Iris Browser was good, but it lagged a lot, and it seemed like it was more bloated than anything. I don't mind the server doing most of the work and then sending it to my phone, and hindering the performance isnt much. I like the evolution of this software and i think its getting better and better. My Device is a WM5.0 pocket pc and this software just adds on to why i think this OS is a powerful platform.

The rendering engine is way slower than Opera 10. Unless I need Flash, Opera 10 Mobile is certainly the way to go!

The new version of Skyfire downloaded quickly to my Fuze, and also installed itself quickly (in place of the earlier version).
The new program graphics look neat, and it certainly opens it's own home page rapidly enough (all this via WiFi, btw) - which is great if you want the latest news stories.
Navigated to espn.com, and Skyfire opened the "real" home page, providing a miniature view that allows you to scroll around to find the story you want, and then Zoom in to better read it, or - more likely - click on the "read more" button.
Interestingly, Opera was a bit slower to open ESPN - but also opened to the MOBILE website, which caught me by surprise, as it usually opens to the "real" web page for any given site (as Skyfire did for ESPN this evening).
This is, of course, a minor test on only ONE web site, so not worth a lot.
A difference that I find potentially significant is that Skyfire does not seem to support the neat "rotate your finger around the cursor button to zoom in or out" that Opera does - that is a very handy control function on many web sites....
