Default Windows Marketplace For Mobile Coming To WinMo 6.0/6.1

http://www.engadget.com/2009/07/14/...y-27-coming-to/

Engadget is reporting that Microsoft new app store, Windows Marketplace for Mobile will be gracing the screens of Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 devices. This is welcome news as it had been previously limited to the new WinMo 6.5 platform. Now users of existing devices can get apps from one place and developers just got a few million instant new potential customers. Great news!

I am glad they came back to Earth; limiting it to 6.5, between the economy status and the "speed" of the OEMs and Carriers to offer 6.5 would have been a big issue for the service.
MS needs a big bang with it and this is the way to ignite it.

Thank you so much for throwing us 6.0/6.1 users a bone. I understand that our devices are almost a year old & it must be very difficult to program for such outdated devices.

I'm still more or less enjoying my cooked AT&T Tilt but I'm so done with WinMo after this thing dies.
