Apple Revamping Floor Plans in Apple Stores
"On the heels of an iPhone/iPod display table make-over, Apple plans to entirely reorganize and refocus space within the stores to emphasize customer education, and software over hardware."
Photo: Apple Store, Pacific Centre, Vancouver B.C. It appears Apple is shifting focus from hardware to software, putting the applications and digital features of Apple as the focus when you enter the stores. They will also have a section at the entrance called "Why You'll Love a Mac", and right after that they will focus on the various software suites iLife and iWork. Wonder if this is to make the switcher more comfortable with their decision, or to show the new customer that Apple is more than just a hardware company? I suppose it could be for both. The change is expected to take place, along with retraining the staff, over the next few weeks.
