Default New UI, Templates, and Sync Engine In Spb Wallet 2.0

http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/wallet/

"The new Spb Wallet 2.0 - a secure repository of most valuable private information, such as PINs, passwords, keys, account, passport, and credit card numbers - has versions for non- and touchscreen Windows Mobile devices, Symbian Series 60 smartphones (including Nokia 5800 touch screen), Apple's iPhone and iPod, and a desktop component. The new multiplatform approach allows users of Spb Wallet to keep their private data safe, even when they swap phones or mobile platforms. Spb Wallet securely stores sensitive information AES 256-encrypted and password-protected, supports automatic lockup, clipboard cleanup, and protects from phishing. The data can be synchronized between (and accessed from) multiple PCs and mobile devices. The virtual, electronically stored items, such as cards and passports look like real ones: Spb Wallet 2.0 offers an integrated online database of over seven thousand most popular cards, and the option to order more custom images - for free. The new Wallet 2.0 for Windows Mobile boasts Autocomplete for PIE, new finger-friendly UI, adaptive skins, smart scrolling, gestures, animation effects, and a new logon panel. The desktop version offers advanced integration with web browsers, automatic supply and capture of websites login information, password generator, migration wizard from custom CSV formats and other wallet applications."

There's certainly no shortage of new and improved features in Spb Wallet 2.0. It's in our affiliate software store (Windows Mobile Standard and Classic/Professional) in the form of a free trial version, or a full version for $29.95. However, if you're an Spb Wallet 1.x user, you can upgrade to Spb Wallet 2.0 for $14.95 - or for the sweet price of $0, if you purchased it within the last 90 days. Check out the press release for links and additional details.

Hmm, WM price $29.99, iphone price $9.99, same featureset, anyone else feel like WM users are being taken for a ride?

Yeah, that is rather, um, curious.

EDIT: it's worth noting though that the Windows Mobile price includes a desktop client, right? And the iPhone client has no desktop component. I use FlexWallet myself, and I use the desktop client 100 times more than the device client.

Despite the price difference between WM and iPhone, I am tempted to switch from Iliumsoft eWallet. The software is very finger friendliness from password keypad, folder list, card opening .... I can very easy to open my card to view the informations without using stylus. First impression is very good. Just wonder Iliumsoft may upgrade its eWallet to a better finger friendliness to cope with the trend.

Hi Jason,
Hi efjay,

Our main idea is to make price for upgrade the same for all platforms and for all users who've been using Spb Wallet 1.x.

For Windows Mobile and Symbian it is provided as 50% discount, and if you had Spb Wallet 1.x before you can upgrade just for 14.95 to either Symbian S60 or Windows Mobile.

But Apple Store doesn't have a way to provide discount code or include desktop component. This way user need to pay 9.95 for iPhone version and 4.95 for desktop upgrade separately.

Uprade price will be the same 14.95, and doesn't matter if you upgrade to WM, Symbian or iPhone version.

We are talking about pricing for a new copy, not upgrades. This does not explain the difference in pricing for a new copy, $29.99 vs $9.99.

But he did explain it. Spb does 50% off for upgrades, right? So they can't sell a Windows Mobile version for $14.99 (device + desktop version) and then offer upgrades for $7.50. So, yes, you're paying an extra $15 over iPhone users, but when the next version comes out, you're paying the same as them. At least that's how I understand it.

Sorry for being not clear:

If you had Widows Mobile version, you'll be able to upgrade to Windows Mobile, Symbian or iPhone version with same 14.95

If you are new user, you'll pay 29.95 for Symbian or Windows Mobile, and 19.95 for iPhone.

It is only way to provide same upgrade price to Spb Wallet 2 for all users for all platforms.
Otherwise exisiting Spb Wallet users have to pay full product price (29.95) for upgrade to iPhone version, and we don't want to make such bad things with our existing customers.
