Default The Zune Bug

http://www.geardiary.com/2008/08/31...changing-light/

“This conceptual product by designer Ashley Payne would plug into an ordinary socket and use the your Zune player’s wireless connection to route music from your Zune to the nightlight where it would react to the music’s frequency by changing color and brightness in time to the music.”

I have to admit, I’m a sucker for lights. I’m currently trying to think of some unique lighting ideas for my living room to give it a sort of lounge atmosphere. The Zune Bug concept that Ashley Payne has put together definitely fits the bill of unique. Wayne over at Gear Diary has the same idea as me. Plug a bunch of these things in and you would get an interesting light show.

This is only a concept, however, and I doubt we’ll ever see something like this come out. There’s a lot of technical hurdles here. For one, it needs to wireless connect to your Zune to play music. And yes, it has a speaker in it. I can’t imagine getting any sound worth hearing from something like this. Still, its an interesting idea. I think it would be pretty easy to modify the concept to have lights that simply react to ambient music in a room.
