Default Tracy & Matt Post Touch Pro Review

http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs...ouch-pro-review

"Can HTC Touch Pro live up to the hype? I think it can, it is by far the best phone I have tested; I think it is a great size, not too big or too small. It has all the functionality and speed that I need day to day.The price tag? Well, anything worth buying is invariably not cheap, and this is no exception, it is relatively expensive in the PDA world, but it is probably the best on the market at this time"

If Tracy & Matt's review isn't enough, Boy Genius Report has a gallery of pictures that you can drool over. If you're still rocking an original TyTN or (gasp!) a K-JAM, the Touch Pro will skyrocket you into the next generation of devices. But at the price, you may want to wait to see if it will come to a local telecom near you so you can reap subsidy goodness.

Most people who claim to know something (whether they do or not is anybody's guess) say that this will hit AT&T (minus the videoconferencing camera, of course, but with everything else mostly intact, and with a push-to-talk button) sometime in September. After all the positive comments I've seen around the net, I'm really hoping it's true; I'm eligible for an upgrade on September 9!

It's not just the keyboard that makes this thicker than the Diamond; it's 40% more battery capacity, a flash, and an SD card slot. If I could get these specs with no keyboard, I would, but I'll take the keyboard if I have to.

It sure appears that HTC has priced this to discourage purchase independent of a carrier. The price may also be set so as not to canablize Diamond sales. I don't believe the features the Pro has over the Diamond add the differential we are seeing here. The Diamond itself is pricey but didn't stop me and lots of others from buying unlocked models. I love the Touch Flo 3D interface and so I am pleased to see it migrate to another HTC model, but as a former TILT owner who now uses the Diamond, a phone that thick seems like an 80's brick to me.

I've read that HTC plans a couple more Diamond-based models over the next year. Would a Dual version be one of those? Or a version with an iPhone size screen? Hmmm.....

I'm eagerly waiting to see what the AT&T pricing will be; I haven't seen any informed speculation on that. Starting out this high, it could be that even the subsidized price will be more than I'm willing to pay.

Oh, well! We did hear a lot of complains about quality of HTC phones lately. Drivers, memory, support, etc..., even a treat of a Law Suite last time I checked! So finally HTC come up with the phone, that everyone should love, (Not me tho, screen is to small ) but with a price tag that would definitely discourage most customers from going to a store and buying it. It seems HTC sends a clear message, "You want a better phones, pay up! If not be happy with the s... (what we have to offer at a cheaper prices)" Although, these TYTNs, Dimonds, etc.. are not too bad, you still would need to do extra work on them to make them better, or make sacrifices.
BTW I'm still waiting for Experia
