Skype for Windows Mobile Updated, Supports Windows Mobile 6.1
If you're a Skype user who owns one of the latest and greatest devices on the block, good news! A Windows Mobile 6.1-friendly version (v2.2.0.45) is now available�*for Classic/Professional (Pocket PC) devices. Oh, sorry Standard (Smartphone) users - you'll have to sit this one out, unfortunately.

Doesn't version 2.2.0.44 (same link, same page) already support 6.1 Standard?

Not officially. Some 6.1 Standard users have reported errors with that particular version.
