All AT&T Phones - $0.01 or Less
"For one day only on Amazon.com, get any AT&T phone for only one penny when you purchase a new 2-year service plan. The cost of these phones is either a penny - or better than free, making the purchase cash-positive with rebate after purchase. The Tilt, BlackBerry 8820, and Treo 680 or Treo 750 are a penny or less after rebate. Get bestselling phones like the RAZR2 and the BlackBerry Curve for a drastically reduced price. Don't miss out on this opportunity -- tomorrow it will be gone."
No, your eyes are not deceiving you. All AT&T phones are on Amazon for one cent or less. Uh... less, you say? Yep, factor in those rebates and you can actually rake in a bit of cash just for picking up one of these phones. Focusing on Windows Mobile, there's the Tilt for $-0.01, the Blackjack II for $-49.99, the Motorola Q9h for $-24.99, and the Treo 750 for $-0.01. And if you're looking at other devices as well, there's a chance to pocket up to $150. Of course, these are all on a contract, but are great deals nonetheless. Better hurry - one day only!

This is so very tempting, but going from paying about 45/mo on Sprint to $90/mo on AT&T with 50 less minutes and no 3G service in my area is kind of holding me back. Maybe someday, AT&T... Maybe someday...

Great deal! I am so tempted. The only catch is that May 6 HTC will announce a number of new phones. Maybe that's why Amazon has it on sale?

Question is, what's the early cancellation fee? I wouldn't mind paying 100 or 200 bucks for a Tilt... =)
edit: just read the details.. need to stay on contract for 6 months or else rebate isn't valid.. doh.. guess no cheap tilt for me...

Not such a great deal
You can find this kind of deal in many sites. The trick is in fine prints. You need to have the service for at least 6 months. And mail your rebate forms in fifth months, that is if you can still find your reciept and rebate form and first couple months of bill. On top of that you need meet the minimum voice + data package requirement. After 6 months, you can see that the cheap phone you are suppose to get is no longer that cheap.

Hmmmm. Not so free anymore. I already have a Tilt, but just for giggles, I checked and suddenly the "free" Tilt isn't free anymore:
AT&T Tilt Smartphone (AT&T)
Wireless Phone
List Price: $599.99
Our Price: $184.99
You Save: $415.00 (69%)
Mail-In Rebates: $50.00
Price After Rebates: $134.99
In Stock
Think they were losing too much money and changed course mid-stream?

It was a deal that only lasted a day, so if you checked yesterday, you would have seen the original price.
