Default Tracy and Matt's Blog Unbox the Samsung i780

http://www.tracyandmatt.co.uk/blogs...ng_i780_unboxed

"Until the launch of the HTC TyTN II back in September 2007, my phone of choice was the Samsung i600...However, Samsung recently released the i780 which looks like an updated version of the i600 but has built in GPS! In reality the Samsung i780 is an all-new device. First of all it uses WM6 professional, so there is an integrated 320x320 pixel touchscreen. The CPU clocks at 624MHz and there's 256MB ROM and 128MB RAM. The i780 also has a new "optical joystick" for navigating through the OS. So can the Samsung i780 turn me away from my TyTN II? I'll discuss this and all the new features in the review which will be here soon. For now though, here is our unbox video..."

Matt gives the i780 a thorough unboxing. Any of you interested in this unit?

Update: They now have a full review of the device here.

Very nice specs, my only problem, I like big screen, no keybard. I use transcriber or virtual keyboard.

I find thease unboxing vidieos rather worthless. I don't need to see some one take items out of a box..

Just turn it on and show how the builtin apps. show on the screen. I am interested in seeing real data in a MS Excel work sheet on the tiny screen or a PDF doc. ETC.

Any chance of a cdma version hear in the states?

Two years ago, I would not have said that. But after using an 8125/Wizard since MAY 06, I can say that I am now ready for a screen with the resolution, responsiveness and real estate of the iPhone, and forget about the keyboard. I've tried Crackberries, the 8125 and the Blackjack, and I don't like any of them. Perhaps my Palm roots are showing, but I do better with block recognizer or transcriber than with anything save my Bluetooth keyboard.

After being impressed with the Blackjacks and the i760, I find the i780 drool-worthy. However, it lacks the 850 MHz band.
