Default ActivePrint 5.5 Released, First Five Pro Buyers Get A Free SD Card!

http://pocketwatchsoftware.com/Acti...ee_sd_card.html

"Pocket Watch Software is happy to announce the release of ActivePrint 5.5! To celebrate this new release we will be giving away five Kingston 1GB Micro SD Cards with SD and MiniSD adapters to the first five people who purchase ActivePrint Professional from our ActivePrint Web Store at http://www.activeprint.net. Print all your documents no matter where you go with ActivePrint 5.5! Use your devices ActiveSync/WMDC connection or your wireless network and print to any Windows Compatible printer. Whether you want to print Word, Excel, PDF, Photos, or Pocket Outlook items you can print it with the ActivePrint System."

ActivePrint offers several printing options for your mobile device. The Basic version allows you to print over a wireless connection. The Standard version adds to that the ability to print to a "queue" which will print when you connect to your computer via Activesync. Finally the Professional version adds printing capability from an SD or CF card. For those who need the Professional version, Pocket Watch is giving away 1GB Micro SD cards to the first five purchasers who use their ActivePrint Web Store. You can download a demo here.

No evidence on the web site about how much memory this program takes. Anyone know?

The ActivePrint Mobile Client (the part that goes on your mobile device) takes approximately 600 kb. This can be installed on your device's main memory or your device's storage card.

Default activeprint

There is no .cab file. Important since I use Mac and syncmate, so there is no possibility to install on my Eten.

You can download the CAB file that is best for your mobile device at the below link:

One note though, ActivePrint requires that you have access to a computer that can run Windows XP or Vista.

If you only use the Basic version and just print over a wifi connection, do you still need the Windows PC?

Short answer, yes.

Because it is still connecting to a Windows pc. Instead of being through an ActiveSync/WMDC connection (as is the case with ActivePrint Standard), its through a TCP/IP connection.
