Default the::unwired Video-Previews Samsung's i780

Arne, over at the::unwired, has gotten ahold of the new Samsung i780 WM6 Professional phone and has put up two video reviews about it, the first focusing on the i780's hardware and the second as a comparison against two other devices, including the i600/Blackjack.

I'm impressed that the i780 is only a bit larger than the reasonably-small BlackJack, despite having a higher-resolution, square screen. I'll be curious to know about details like battery life, but I have to admit, the i780 looks like a pretty nice device.

Yes, the i780 looks like it would be an awesome device. I just wish they had included the US radio frequencies. I've been hoping someone would release a WM Pro device with a front facing keyboard and at least a QVGA screen. I've been eying the Ubiquio 503g, but that device seems to have some fairly serious flaws (hard time with ATT Sims, disappearing SD cards, questionable volume, etc.) I was drooling over the iPaq 9XX series, but that has been delayed. And, unsurprisingly, Palm hasn't released an upgrade to the 700wx, despite that being over a year old! The i780 would definitely fit the bill if only they hadn't locked it out of the US market.

I've started using the Moto Q9 global from ATT and it's a very good device, I love the front facing keyboad, and it's a very good phone, but I really miss WM pro.

I pretty surprised that with all of HTC's releases they STILL haven't dropped a QVGA WM Professional device with a front keyboard on us. I think the Dash, Q and Blackjack all have been at least moderately successful, and I don't understand why we haven't seen that form factor more widely available with a touch screen.
