Default eReader Pro 3.0 For Windows Mobile - Buy Online, Search, and More

http://www.ereader.com/product/detail/15005?software=eReader_Pro_for_Pocket_PC_and_Windows_Mobile_Smartphone_Editions

eReader.com has recently released eReader Pro 3.0 for Windows Mobile. Now much more than just an ebook application, you can buy ebooks directly through eReader Pro. I have purchased many books from my device before, but it was through a painful desktop experience crammed on my little phone screen, and you had to know how to use zipping applications on your device, not something the average user knew how to do. As long as your account is already set up on the web site, you only need to search for the book you want, enter a coupon code if you have one and that's it. It will automatically charge the card you have on your account, add it to your library and download it to the device, either directly on the device or to a storage card.

View of your library

You can search for titles by the book title or author. You can also download other titles already in your library that you may not have on your device. The only two things I see about the new version I don't care for is, it won't remember your password when going to your account, so if you have a long or complex password that is a pain to key in, consider changing it or just get used to keying it. Also, now that it is fully WM5/WM6 compliant, the page and battery indicator that used to be in the menu bar are gone.

It works with Windows Mobile 2003 and above, both Pocket PC and Smartphone. It is now also free. It previously cost $10-$15. I guess they now see the advantage of giving the reader away for free if you will buy directly from your phone. This version, unlike previous versions, seems to be fully compliant with the installer technology in ActiveSync, WMDC and on your device. This means you can safely install it to your storage card. Before getting started I manually uninstalled the old eReader Pro 2.x version. The new version seemed to pick up my old preferences. Good for me as an upgrader, but it does tell you that the old uninstaller didn't uninstall much. :?

I though the book was passable, if you had a couple of months to spare

The movie however, was absolutely awful.

I installed it about a week ago. It seems to be working great so far. I was able to download something from my bookshelf with no issues.

The battery meter was gone in the previous version of the free reader as well (if you installed the WM5 version.)

Old style space opera rather than Banks. Enjoyable I thought.

It wasn't that good.
