Default Portugal Posts Polaris Pics!

"Time is gone since we've heard about the HTC Polaris last time and unlike expected, HTC hasn't unveiled it during its last week's press events. However, someone in Portugal managed to got his hands on one and was even able to make some photos (as far as I know these are the first real photos of the Polaris). The HTC Polaris is the UMTS follower of the HTC P3300 (HTC Artemis) and expected to feature Windows Mobile 6 Professional, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth as well as a FM radio and for sure A-GPS (chipset yet unknown)"

As is to be expected, HTC never reveals all of it's secrets during the fall new device season, and while the Polaris looks interesting, in many ways it is simply an HTC Touch with GPS and an FM-Radio. Personally I doubt we'll see this until late spring or even perhaps next fall. But it is something to look forward to for those who would require its unique featureset.

If it's really "only" QVGA, then I'm really dissapointed.

All these QVGA units are getting really boring, and I really can't see why is HTC so persistent on using QVGA in all of their devices. Advantage is an exception, but it's also not really a phone.

So true. After using an Axim x50v, VGA looks so grainy.

I am ready for a new device, and I am hoping for the following:

-Converged phone/PDA
-VGA screen
-WM 6 Pro
-Available in the USA
-Sprint network

I have been waiting for a long time. Seems like its not going to happen anytime soon.
