Sources Report UTStarcom Order to HTC
"High Tech Computer (HTC) will make two CDMA smartphones for UTStarcom, which will then launch the 3G phones in cooperation with Verizon Wireless, according to market sources. UTStarcom will offer the two phones under the model names SMT 5800 (HTC codename Libra) and XV 6800 (Mogul). Both models are built with Qualcomm's MSM 7500 chipset and support CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO, the sources indicated"
Well, looks like some of the newer models in HTC's line will be coming to Verizon under the UTStarcom name. I've personally seen a Mogul and would have been suprised if Verizon didn't pick it up. Nothing in the CDMA world for HTC has GPS, however, which still makes me stick with GSM and await the Kaiser.

What is going on with Verizon anyway? Sprint seems to be leading the way in CDMA-Land as far as adopting and rushing new and exciting technology out to the end users. I've been hearing about the Verizon "6800" for months now - and Sprint already has it out - ugh. Would someone please kick Verizon in the pants and get these phone out to market ASAP?!?
