Default HTC's New Roadmap

http://blog.cti-miami.com/2007/06/2...-phones-galore/

"We tried to tell you CTI Miami was hot! ...these should be in stock soon! HTC has given us a fantastic look at some upcoming phones. Unreleased phones like the HTC Touch for CDMA, HTC S640 (CDMA), HTC Kaiser, HTC Nike and many more grace the pages."

CTI Miami's Blog has a nice PDF document with some specs on upcoming HTC phones and devices. Personally I'm eyeing a Kaiser for my next device! Anyone out there looking to grab one of these shiny machines once they're released?

Kaiser is nice, but I would really like to have VGA screen, so from all the devices in the document, only Polaris raised my interest.

Yes there is also Shangri-La (Shift?) - but I'm not sure why would it have Vista and WM6 - I just don't see the point, just like with DualCore.

With the current available information, I will probably go for iMate Ultimate device as my new Phone/PDA.

Interesting PDF document.

Looks like HSDPA is going to be available on most of their phones from now on, so that opens up the number of available options for me. I will only buy phones with HSDPA from now on. Currently on the TYTN so the Kaiser seems like the easy step forward. #1 problem with TYTN is the thickness, which I believe is down 30-40% on the new model.

I do like the idea of a numeric pad on the front and an additional full qwerty slider as well so the Volans is also a contender.

Hurry up HTC. I want an upgrade!

I do like Polaris, but then again. WCDMA 2100 Only! Can anybody explain why?

Only interested in a candybar landscape screen, QWERTY keyboard device. Using a TyTN showed me how inconvinient a sliding keyboard is. Currently using a Dash and its usability is much better for me.

ok, they (or other companys) are too stupid/stubborn to make VGA phone with TRI-BAND 3G. Imate ultimate series is our only hope!

I agree. I want the Kaiser's sliding keyboard with a better screen and full GPS capabilities.

I don't quite understand the difficulties for the PDA/Phone manufacturers.

Why couldn't someone take the full PDA with 640x480 VGA, 624 MHz (like the Dell Axim/Ipaq/Loox), add an integrated GPS, and then add the phone capability. Simple.

I also don't understand why they can't make a phone that can be both CDMA and GSM. Most of the phones are already multi-band and multi network. I can't help but think the consumer is getting a bad deal some where.

If the Toshiba G900 was CDMA (for the U.S. market) and had a GPS, I could be very happy.

I'm not asking for new technology, I'm simply asking for technology to become integrated. Can it be that tough? Or am I the only one wanting this?

Jake

This paper shows Kaiser as having 64 MB of RAM whereas some others who are already using it (on other fourums) claim it is 128 MB.

Anyone any idea what is the actual RAM

Regards
