Dopod Makes It Official: Windows Mobile 6 for Four Devices
"Dopod International (Singapore) Pte Ltd, a leading PDA phone and Smartphone provider, today announced its support for existing users of 838Pro, D810, P800W and the recently launched U1000 to migrate from the Windows Mobile 5 operating system to an improved platform, Windows Mobile 6. This can be done for free and is applicable to all current owners of these devices. From July 2007, Dopod International will offer current users of these devices a free download of the upgrade code which will enable users of these devices, currently running on Windows Mobile 5, to upgrade to the Windows Mobile 6."
What's better than an upgrade? A free upgrade, of course. From July, Windows Mobile 6 will be offered to users of the popular 838 Pro (Hermes), D810 (Trinity), P800W (Artemis), and U1000 (Athena). Any Dopod'ers here looking forward to their fix of six?

Is this a ROM that I can use for Hermes Tytn?
Any ideas whether I will be able to obtain this download for my Tytn when it comes out? or does the actual hardware be Dopod labelled? Thx

Hehe, yep I want to play even better tricks with my new U1000.
Only concern may be - I currently run a TrueVGA program to make real use of the big screen. Works perfectly except for two Setting screens: Backlight and Comm settings. I really wonder if such program will be working with WM6. Any suggestions?

I installed WM6 development version - but it doesn't support all the nice things like Camera, GPS, Harddisk, ... That makes waiting quite simple

It would be nice to know what these ROM packages consist of
Everyone has their programs that they like/dislike..It sure would be nice if in the process of their new ROM announcements they could leak out or announce any new programs, upgrades to existing ones, or ones ommitted in their Roms that were there on the WM5 version. From what I can see, a lot of people do not like Bloatware . They take up precious memory. For example would it be possible to see Adobe 2 reader instead of Clearvue for pdf's?? Well I guess you see my point. I guess, I also will have to wait, and even if the roms to get put out by HTC, more than likely it will be next to impossible to find out what is there , unless you install it..
