Default Trimble Offers Budget Juno ST GPS Mobile Device for Data Collection

http://www.trimble.com/junost.shtml

"The Juno ST handheld is a highly productive yet affordable, non-rugged GPS receiver for field data collection and mobile GIS....The Juno ST handheld is ideal for utility companies, government organizations, and agencies that are managing large deployments and tight budgets. In applications such as forestry mapping and workforce automation, where accuracy may be less important, and high productivity is essential, the Juno ST handheld is ideal."

The Juno ST runs Windows Mobile 5 on a 300 MHz Samsung processor. It will have 64 MB RAM and 128 MB non-volatile Flash data storage and an SD memory card slot for expansion. Connectivity options including Bluetooth and 802.11b/g. You can read the PDF Datasheet and FAQ for more specs and software requirements. It should begin shipping early May, but price has not yet been released.

"Juno" - now that's a highly respected name that I would want to associate MY product with.

There's no telling why they picked that name for the model given the obvious association people would make with the free online service, but Trimble is well-respected in the GPS data collection market. Their regular collection units cost around $5,000 and have sub-meter accuracy. A cheaper one is welcome.
