Goodbye PDAmill, Hello Nav N Go Game Studios
"We're pleased to announce that PDAmill has merged with the fantastic company by the name of Nav N Go. Who? We're glad you asked! Nav N Go Kft is a company that we started awhile back for developing unique software solutions outside of gaming. Originally for GPS solutions, including the much praised iGO My Way GPS navigation product, it has quickly expanded beyond our expectations and even bigger than our games! We thought it would not only be a great strategic business decision, but mutually beneficial for everyone just to go ahead and merge together to maximize our potential of developing really cool software (including our really cool games) for many different platforms. But not to worry! We (the PDAmill crew) are still the same bunch of people making the same bunch of great games, we just have a slight change to our name!"
Don't let the post title fool you. It's only the name that's going. The company is staying put and still committed to producing great games for the Windows Mobile platform. Over the next year, we'll see a brand transition from PDAmill to Nav N Go Game Studios. The new site will be an easy-to-type navngo.com, although pdamill.com will be just as functional. To the Nav N Go team, congrats on the switcheroo.

I'm trying to find something to replace the late lamented Mapopolis, so I've been anxiously awaiting the realease of the US version of iGO. I thought that was supposed to happen a couple of months ago, but I haven't seen anything about it lately. I sent them an email a few weeks ago, asking about it, but I never got an answer.

iGO My Way was (and is still being) released bundled on several OEM devices, including the latest batch of Mios and the new Harmon Kardon device in the US... but as for purchasing the software separately by itself (for installation on a PPC)... I have no idea, but I'll find out

Maybe they will finally tweak their games (which are my favorites) to work with the Treos...
I have both submitted support requests via their website and posted the question to their support forum. Neither action received a reply of any kind. Why have a support forum if you won't even answer a questions (even if it is "yeah, it doesn't work").
I had four games from them (GameBox Gems and GameBox Classics being my favorites). They are all supposedly square screen compatible, but on the Treo 700w the input is all messed up.
I will never purchase another game from them unless they fix at least two of the ones I own (which is a shame, because they are probably the highest quality games I have tried).
