The Boy Genius Unboxes the Pharos PTL600
"While it's not the finest Pocket PC creation, we would never turn down an opportunity to unbox! The Pharos PTL600 combines built-in GPS with quad-band EDGE in a nice small form-factor. Speaking of boxes, this box contains a ton of accessories usually left up to the consumer to buy separately. Included is the obvious, like a home charger, USB cable, and headphones. The nice additions are a charging cradle, mounting stand for your car (to use that built-in GPS of course), leather case and car charger."
You may recognize the Pharos PTL600 as the E-TEN Glofiish X500. They're essentially the same (E-TEN being the original manufacturer), except the Pharos version has a few extra accessories - namely, a charging cradle, a car mount, a car charger, and a 2GB microSD card complete with maps. In addition, the leather case appears to be a step up from E-TEN's offering. Head over to TBGR and check out the snaps.

Nice to see Pharos getting this finally out the door. IMHO I quite like the X500 and looks like Pharos has provided some pretty nice accessories, not available from Eten.
Although BGenius didn't mention it, I would imagine it comes with Ostia pre-instaled as well.
Why to people worry about what the box looks like?

Buy E-Ten, and install TomTom or Garmin, or Something Else, Avoid Pharos! I tell it from personal experience! 0X

While I understand a number of people have had 'problems' with Ostia, I did a review of it about a year ago, and have been working with the beta versions since then. Overall, it's not THAT bad compared to the other products (although Pharos needs to find a more current version of their maps) and they have been very responsive to new ideas and enhancements to the product.
