Default 3G Pocket PC Phone from E-TEN Expected Later This Year

http://www.digitimes.com/news/a20070129PD203.html

"E-Ten Information Systems plans to launch its first PDA phone supporting 3G technology in the second half of 2007, according to company chairman Hwang Shan-rong. In addition to the 3G PDA phones, the company plans to introduce one or two new PDA phones in each quarter this year, noted Hwang, who also indicated that the company's PDAs are evenly developed into three categories for the financial, consumer electronics and industrial sectors."

The X500 and M700 are great devices, sporting GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an FM radio, camera, and in the case of the M700, a slide-out keyboard. If E-TEN's upcoming 3G Pocket PC Phone incorporates the positives of the aforementioned devices, it could prove to be a big hit among the power users here - well, except the VGA junkies, though E-TEN could even surprise us on that front. Time will tell.
