Default Vodafone Germany to Release the HTC Trinity as VPA Compact GPS

http://www.theunwired.net/?itemid=3554

"Vodafone Germany's online shop preview unveiled that the German carrier will launch the HTC Trinity (also known as HTC P3600) as VPA compact GPS soon. As you can see on the name affix 'GPS,' the Trinity definitely supports GPS which makes it the first 3G enabled Windows Mobile navigation device. Other features of the HTC Trinity are Windows Mobile 5.0, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and 3G UMTS/HSDPA as well as W-LAN and Bluetooth and a 2.0 megapixel camera."

You can find the original German report here. There's no confirmation on when this will be offically released, but it's great to see this announced as a converged GPS/3G device. Thoughts?

I wish they made it prettier. All that cool technology is a pretty stoic case...

Cool, this means they have, as has also been promised, finally ironed out the Qualcomm compatibility problems.

BTW, I've played a bit with this gem (without the enabled GPS) and found it VERY cool - much friendlier / more capable than the Wizard. I only wish it was a tad cheaper.
