Default izenMobile Announces Two New Pocket PC Phones

http://www.mobilitysite.com/2007/01...w_pocket_pc.php

"izenMobile, a San Diego-based converged device company, has launched its new phones for 2007: the KRMA and the KSMT. The brand is positioned to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses (SMB) with specific Microsoft Windows Mobile wireless devices that create a simplified digital experience through value-added services. "We are introducing two devices that, when combined with izenMobile's service and support, will make digital life easier and more effective for this underserved market," says Jon Driscoll, president and CEO."

Looks like Pharos isn't the only one set to introduce re-branded versions of E-TEN's latest Glofiish devices, with izenMobile announcing its intention to release the Glofiish X500 and M700 as the KRMA and KSMT respectively. They have it all (well, almost everything): quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, an FM radio tuner, and a 2.0-megapixel camera.

The ETEN X500 is a clever, innovative unit, however re-branded.

Like Mr Wey here, I live in Aus, where ETEN make no marketing effort at all ... but nonetheless the X500 does have it all in a beautifully small, neat form.

If you need 3G, look elsewhere, but here in Aus 3G pricing puts that technology out of contention, so the X500 is perfect

may be its just me but i do not see this as a smart move from ETEN or izenMobile. ETEN is already a well-known & established company, they do there own Marketing & can take care of that by just expanding their efforts.

Its okay if the Rebranded device is at least a lil different.. at least looks different & have different customization. but releasing the same thing under different brands is just ridiculous to me.

IMO HTC did a very smart move to start selling phones under their own name, as they have been selling great devices for years where most people dont even know them.

I'm all for Innovation & creativity, If you want to sell a device Design/Build it yourself. :!:
