Default Windows Mobile Device Center and Office 2007 FAQs

Chris De Herrera at Pocket PC FAQ has put together a great resource for mobile device connectivity with Office 2007 and the upcoming Windows Mobile Device Center. If you have adopted or plan to adopt either Office 2007 or Windows Vista (or both), then these guides are worth bookmarking.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I see that serial connection support is being dropped. Since bluetooth connectivity is essentially an emulated serial connection, does that mean we've lost that now, too? I didn't see bluetooth mentioned anywhere (granted, it was more of a skim over the pages than a thorough read).

Although I have yet to upgrade to Vista, I am using Office 2007.

I have to say that I am thoroughly disappointed with OneNote Mobile.

It does add a replication option to Activesync but it doesnt do a very good job. I am constantly getting duplicated OneNote Sections named after my device as well as duplicated notes.

Also, the functionality of OneNote Mobile on my PocketPC is very limited. At least a Zoom feature like the regular Notes would have been nice.
