Zenum Opus Opteris: You Mean It's For Real?

We had our doubts when the first shots of this device hit the Internet - now it appears that there's some substance to what originally looked like a product design exercise. PocketPCItalia.com has exclusive preview photos of the Opus Opteris (Google translation here), with the addition of the camera cover the most obvious difference with the original concept design. In addition, Zenum has issued a press release (warning: direct pdf link) claiming a March 2007 release date, with some details on the phone's specifications. The Opus Opteris is certainly a stylish looking device, though I have my doubts as to the ergonomics of the keyboard and the specifications are strictly ho-hum. Still, it makes a sharp contrast to the generally utilitarian look of most Windows Mobile phones. Thoughts anyone?

By the end of Q1 2007, it will even be considered having prehistoric specifications. Too bad, the design is nice and more up-to-date specs would have made it an instant hit!
