Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine Reviews Nero Mobile
"If you love audio and video content, you've probably heard of Nero. The software that was originally known for being the best way to burn CDs has evolved into an application to manage multi-media on your PC. The latest incarnation, Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced... includes a trial of Nero Mobile, an application for the Windows Mobile platform that brings the power of Nero's multimedia management to handhelds. With so many multimedia applications available for the Windows Mobile space, does Nero have what it takes to takes to bring new life to the mobile audio and video landscape?"
There are numerous 3rd party applications available when it comes to media playback, but Nero is no ordinary company. While it's encouraging to see a heavyweight like Nero invest into Windows Mobile, the real question is whether they can deliver a truly compelling solution that adds value to their popular suite of PC applications. Check out the review to see what Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine think!

IMO, more importantly than to see companies invest in writing software for the PPC/WM platform is to see a company push the utilization of already existing functions with in the platform that doesnt get as much attention as it should.
For years I have always felt one of the biggest disappointments of PPCs\WM is the lack of exploiting it's Multimedia functions. Granted just about every single users who visits this site (or power users) is aware of these functions on PPC\WM devices, but little is known to anyone else. In other words, if a casual consumer walking through CompUSA, or Best Buy stores came across an iPod and a PPC/WM device, I would bet that user would have an understanding of what an iPod can do, even if they've never owned an MP3 device before. Where if that same user came across a PPC\WM device, I'd suspect that users wouldn't have clue what a it could do, let alone know it could do everything an iPod can do and more.
The success of the PPC\WM platform doesn't have to come with the understanding that it's a powerful portable computing platform, but could come in the fact that it could be an iPod audio and video killer and everything else second, much like how the Treo Palm or WM is doing now to the average user, that being the device is a phone first, and everything else second.
Even though these are just my thoughts, It's nice to see Nero take this step. Hopefully they will continue to mature this software so listening to music and video is as easy as it is on the iPod to non-geek users for Pocket PCs and Windows Mobile devices.

The good news is, that it's a "all in one" multimedia app.
The bad news is, that allmost all its funktions are available as freeware, via TCPMP and Xn-View :?
