Default Keypoint Technologies Launches Adaptex with Predictive Language Technology

http://www.adaptexlive.com/?node_id=3.1.3.2&id=2

"AdapTex accelerates text entry to a new level by suggesting complete words or phrases, allowing entry with a single touch. It gives superior predictive accuracy because it learns your vocabulary and adjusts to the context of your applications."

There's no shortage of text input software available and certainly, there have been a number of solutions that work off predictive technology to proactively list the words it thinks you will type next. Adaptex adds adaptability to the equation as it learns and adjusts to your vocabulary to help make it more efficient the more you use it. Currently, a 14 day trial is available and you can register the software for the cost of 16.99 (~$32.25 USD) as part of their "early adopters deal" (standard price is 25.00 or $47.45 USD). If anyone has managed to try this, give us your thoughts.

Default AdapTex review

I've been using the evaluation and yea it seems to speed up the tedious typing. Think the best thing is that it isn't another weird keyboard layout, it uses what you use, I'm a block recognizer guy. Pretty intuitive too. I can also see the more I use it the better it gets to know me. Definitely recommend.

Is anyone else using this software? I've just downloaded it for evaluation purposes after seeing their advert in the Feb/Mar 07 issue of Smartphone & Pocket PC.

Incidentally, the price on their website is now $29.99 or 16.99 (I thought the $/ rate was going the other way!).
