The E-TEN glofiish X500 Teaser
Okay, here we go. This is E-TEN's latest "everything but the kitchen sink" device, the glofiish X500. It's one of the thinnest Pocket PC Phones around (just 15.5mm), yet packs some serious hardware: Samsung S3C2442 400MHz processor, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, GPS (SiRFstar III chipset) with TMC support, an FM radio, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 2.0-megapixel camera with flash, mini USB, a microSD slot, and Windows Mobile 5.0 with AKU 3.2. Expect a detailed review in the coming weeks. For now, enjoy the few extra shots after the break.

Device is looking good, but looking at ETEN's history they will probably release a X500+, that will be really good with more ROM, RAM, maybe better camera...I can't wait for that!

i'm not sure i want to go to micro-sd, but i suppose i could live with that.
if they'd add UMTS/HSDPA i'd call it a winner. a vga screen option for those that want to kill the battery even faster would be a nice product line addition.
i don't need a hardware keyboard, but wouldn't mind it if the other x500ish rumored device comes about (they claim UMTS).

Ditto. I had to use a SIP the other day, and it felt like I was using a different device. I've grown so completely used to my Treo's front-facing thumbboard, I'm now even afraid to switch to a keyboard-slider device, like the Hermes. 8O That might be one reason I'm eyeing the 750 release on Cingular...

I'm still not sold on VGA... My programs will take more room to install because all the icons have to be bigger... The screen uses more power.. It takes more processor power to run the thing.. Many apps still not compatible.. I know it looks nice but..
QVGA is still ok with me.. For now anyway.
