Default ACiD Sync

"Ever want to synchronize the memory card on your Pocket PC or Smartphone, well now you can! Looking for an easy way to transfer your music, pictures, movies and Podcasts? Finding ActiveSync synchronization of "My Documents" just a little too lacking? Want to shrink down your images before putting them on your device? If the answer is yes─then you need ACiD Sync"

An interesting offering. Right now they only have a Lite version available, and it really doesn't wow me all that much based on description. Now if they built a system where I could wirelessly sync files on my devices to my desktops / servers, THEN I'd be really interested! The scripting abilities did look intriguing though, so if you have time, check it out.

It uses ActiveSync, so you can synchronize your files with any method ActiveSync supports. Unfortunately, Microsoft took Wi-Fi out of ActiveSync, but it still supports Bluetooth.

If you like podcasts, ACiD Sync can automatically decrease the bit-rate on these so they take up less space on your memory card.

The scripting abilities sound good, but I don't like having to restrict my file sync to just a single folder on each card. Mobsync seems better in that respect.

ACiD Sync is very new, and all that's available right now is the beta of the Lite version. Standard and Pro versions are in development, and these will have many more features, including the ability to choose which folders you synchronize and support for sub-folders.

In that case I'll await developments with bated breath!

I'm an active tester for ACiDSync, and I'm quite impressed with the level of professionalism devoted to this utility. It has much more potential than MobSync, and it doesn't look and feel as cheesy. The documentation is out of this world. It's written in a language most of us understand, and the support by Fais (the lead R7ech rep) is outstanding.

Give it a shot. Your storage card will thank you.
