First Look Video of the iPaq rx4540
Mobility Site has posted a first look video of the new iPaq rx4540 - if you're interested in the Mobile Media Companion (as HP terms it), this is definitely something to check out. FWIW - it looks pretty cool in real life, and the battery life sounds really good.

Looks like a nice unit. Now if they would put VGA screens in some of these new rx-series models they would have something REALLY nice. 1-2GB of built-in flash is nice, but between the SD and CF slots in my X51v I can see their bet and raise it.

How will HP accomodate programs that use the d-pad? Anyone have a clue or a reference? It'd be neat to use a wired/wireless remote instead, especially for gameplay.

And putting some highspeed cards in there, and you get a faster memory, than the ROM storrage 8)
Still need to see a new device with CF port, so I can ceep doing basic photo editing, until prices on the WiFi equiped cameras reaches a userfriendly neighbourhood
But the rx4540 still, this looks like a really nice litlle PPC, with great coolnes factor 8)

The rx5000 series has the d-pad, but its in the upper right corner when you hold the thing in landscape mode. That might not be a bad thing though.
Does anyone happen to know if the card slot on these things is just SD or SDHC? Seems a pity if its only the former.
