Default More Details on the HTC Herald From SoloPalmari

http://www.solopalmari.com/content/view/2389/2/

"HTC Herald is once again on SoloPalmari.com, including the newest images and most importantly, the new specs which have yet to be officially confirmed a big thanks to a foreign anonymous reader. As it has already been pointed out the first time we had the opportunity to hear about the device, the PDA phone is only 18mm thick...Before proceeding with the technical specifications, take a look at the keyboard first: there are two LEDs. Thanks to this feature, we will be able to know when the Cap and the 'Fn functions are activated."

As we talked about last time, the underlying specs of the Herald seem very similar to the Wizard. So what's new? Well, two tidbits stand out in this article: a) that the Herald is pretty darn thin (about .7") and b) that it has helpful thumbboard indicator LEDs. This is a great addition; my Treo 700w has a onscreen notifier, but it's not visible in every application. That said, this unit lacks 3G and the rest of its specs virtually match the Wizard, so it's probably not for the power users amongst us.

HTC makes beautiful devices but let's hope QC is better than with the Hermes (Tytn, vario II and others) because that was just a disaster. Never seen a QC that bad before (had 3 TyTN's with major problems). Specwise they are just great!

Have you noticed USB port at the side? Does it have USb host capabilities?
Wow!

It's a normal miniUSB port. It seems more large because the device is thinner.
Ciao, Gianni.

We forgot to translate the "c)"
The Herald's keyboard has a self, semi-automated closing/opening mechanism.
Ciao, Gianni.

These devices ALL look the bloody same. You either have the sliding keyboard variant or the one with a few buttons at the bottom with mostly screen. SNOOZEVILLE. And to top things off, they always have the same tech specs.
