Default HTC Artemis Reviewed

http://www.gpsandco.com/articles/ar...icle_pda&id=381

"HTC had already launched a PDA with integrated receiver GPS, G100 but which was not marketed officially in France and which very was not successful in terms of sensitivity GPS. And HTC manufacture PDAphones GPS iPAQ hw6515 and hw6915 for the mark HP. With P3300, HTC launches its first PDAphone GPS under its own mark and it is very awaited, us already showed you photographs on GPSAndCo."

French site gpsandco.com has just published a fine review of the HTC P3300, HTC's own designation for the Artemis. Sporting quad-band GSM, EDGE, GPS (SirfStar III with A-GPS), TomTom Navigator 6 (optional), and a funky trackball for the cursor, the Artemis is a little off the beaten track for HTC. Verdict: decent GPS sensitivity considering the internal antenna, and very small size; but the camera is average, free ROM and RAM are below average, and the quality of the accessories aren't up to scratch. A translation of the text is available here. The P3300 in Europe will retail in two bundles - a basic pack for 499, and a premium pack with TomTom, car holder, cigarette lighter charger,512MB microSD card, and maps of Europe on a DVD for 679.

Default Damn

I was really looking forward to this one - enough to purchase it.
But no HSDPA and a review like this and, well you get the drift.

Oh well, maybe HTC will have another crack at it.

Helllooooo HTC are you listening!!!!!

Put in decent RAM and ROM add HSDPA - the microSD I can live with.
Oh and use a faster CPU.

Then I'd buy that.

Broken record time blissful.

Doesn't have an FM radio - otherwise yes it would be perfect truly perfect for me.

As I've said in other posts - tell me where I can purchase a Trinity outright in Australia and I'll drive there RIGHT NOW and buy it!

Only problem, no one (not even Darius) can tell me if/when/ever we will see them in Aus.

So stop teasing me!

(all tongue in cheek - no offense meant )

ahh, for the love of god, listen to radio in your car. Seriously, you want a PDA or a radio?

I think too many people are too sensitive about a PDA/Cel phone having everything. Think about it, how many people actualy listen to Radio when they are not in a car or at home?

Zing.........

I care!

I catch the train to work an hour each way and I would like the OPTION of listening to the radio.
Have loads of MP3's loaded on SD but hey do get a little stale sometimes.
So I would LIKE to listen to the radio.

Besides I have this multiple IC devie in my hand - how much can it cost to put in an FM chip...

ETEN M500, Atom and a few others have it so why should I compromise.
Also the thrust of the post was - I can't buy an Artemis OR a Trinity in Aus right now.
Otherwise I would - radio or not.

Any news on dates Darius ?

None at this stage. If I hear anything, it'll be on the front-page in a jiffy.
