Default Online Multiplayer Gaming Community

http://realdice.com/newsletter/october1/index.html

"Real Dice is proud to present a ground-breaking event in mobile gaming: the first cross-platform multiplayer community for Smart devices. Play amazing multiplayer-enabled games against thousands of players from around the world."

I've never been a fan of dice games, but the cross-platform, multiplayer community aspect of this is interesting. For $7.95, you get access to four games, chat, tournament play and a bunch of other stuff. With mobile, internet connected devices becoming more mainstream, this may be an idea who's time has come. Just call me back when there's an RPG version, will ya?

I'll check it out - the main page is being blocked by my office proxy at the moment.

Will thoroughly test the new online portal when I have some time (now, I'm working some big articles on PPC Web Browsers) and compare it to, say, battle.net.

1. Yeah, surfing the net on a jog dial-enabled PDA like the HTC Wizard is very nice and convenient.

2. Three PIE plug-ins: MultiIE 4, ftxPBrowser, Spb Pocket Plus and as far as Opera is concerned, Opera Mini (if you've only tested Mobile).

BTW, what was the problem with TH?

BTW2: can you post the URL? I can't really speak Danish, but, based on my (very rusty) Swedish knowledge, I hopefully understand something

BTW, have you read (all) my PPC Web browsing-related articles on the Web?

The DS/PSP screen isn't much bigger than a pocket PC, and forget about the GBA's tiny screen which people actively game on all the time.

I'm a subscriber of Real Dice and didn't even give a second thought to the screen size until I saw this thread.

I'm pretty lucky as to where I work 10 hours a night and about 75% of that time is just hanging around doing nothing, so I can jump online on my T-Mobile MDA, play online, surf the web, etc..

Definitely hope to see the online gaming community on Pocket PC's continue to grow.. with phones like the MDA from T-Mobile and the 8525 from Cingular where the majority of customers get data plans with them, there's no reason NOT to believe that people don't want online gaming.
