Logitech Releases Next Generation Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

The original press release can be found here. The unit is being aimed at the MP3 player/iPod market as it comes with a separate Bluetooth stereo plug transmitter; thus, it's unclear if you'll be able to operate this directly with a BT-enabled device without the transmitter device. The MSRP for these headsets is $99.99 USD (seemingly standard price for Bluetooth stereo headsets nowadays). Personally, I like the look of these headphones more than the majority of other Bluetooth headphones and I love the Logitech brand... BUT I'm not too crazy about having the Logitech logo so clearly stamped on both sides of my ears! Your thoughts?

I wouldn't mind seeing a review of this piece... I'm always hopeful about headphones until I hear them -- with the exception of etymotics and sennheiser offerings.

I guess they took to heart the 'cracking headband' problem that plagued their last BT headphones, and presented a solution in this next generation of headset. I do wonder if they'll come out with one that's compatible with BT 2.0 enabled devices without a dongle, or if it'll include backwards compatibility with BT 1.1-capable devices with AVCRP and A2DP?
Besides, I need those to fold or something to be more compact - then they'd be just about perfect.

Maybe in Asia there's no problem with big logos and trademarks but in Poland there's lot of people that consider wearing those as socially anacceptable. Some of my friends are cutting out all those straps and tags with trademarks from clothes (I had friend that ripped out all white straps from adidas blouse :P). Personally I hate showing off and now I'm using BT headphones from MSI (similar to those from Nokia or SE where only earbuds are visible).

The functionality is what I'm craving here. I can only imagine what a pleasure it would be to go to the gym or go biking and not have to spend time before or after spinning out a headphone cord and tying myself to my PPC.
If the logo is seriously a problem, go to an auto shop, color match the unit and get yourself a small stick of touch-up paint to mask it out. Should cost about $5 US.

Very interesting. Care to explain more why? Is it just to not show off? Or is large branding just socially unacceptable (down on capitalism or commercialism?).

It's all becouse important is who You are, not what You have. That's true that U have to be smart and intelligent to have money but there are so many worthless people showing off with gadgets bought by rich parents or simply stolen.. Personally I don't want people to think that I'm stupid and money that's all I can offer.
