Default SOYO Releases FreeStyler HS11 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones

http://www.soyousa.com/products/pro...desc.php?id=388

"When you use SOYO FreeStyler ST11 to listen to your music, it can also be at standby for answering incoming phone calls, and once the call is finished, it will switch back to the music automatically... Moreover, you can use the FreeStyler ST11 headphone to remote control the music playing functions of your Bluetooth device if it supports Bluetooth AVRCP. "

For those of you who use your Smartphone or PPCPE for music (in addition to cellular), you'll want to check this out if you don't already have an all-purpose headset solution. Anyone out there managed to try this out? Let us know your thoughts!

Default but... how do you know they're compatible?

I looked through their Website and couldn't make heads or tails if it was compatible with my Treo 700w.

No compatibility charts at all it seems for their bluetooth devices and PDAs. Their FAQ had one question on it about PDAs headsets and skype.

Not a good thing to buy and then have to return.

I'm with you on that. But even if they did have the stats listed I wouldn't trust them. These things are so touchy. I think there are about 6 choices out there right now, but it's hard to know which one will work with your a2dp enabled machine. I tried 4 before finding one that worked consistently well. Some worked well, some skipped horribly, but did the opposite with others users, maybe even using the same machine but a different rom. And that's even with all the registry tweaks required for good sound quality, I could never make some work well. It must be because of the different versions of a2dp or the way they've been implemented, and then there's bluetooth 1.2 and 2.0, and trying to match the throughput your pocket pc can give, so it's trial and error getting a good match for your machine.
In short, buy from a local place or somewhere you can exchange or return easily. You may have to try a few. We're not quite at plug and play here yet.

You guys are way ahead of me. I took one look at them and thought, people will think some one shoved marshmallows in my ears!

I have been eyeballing those BluAnt X5's, which have been getting good reviews. They also have a compatibility matrix.

one thing i hadn't noticed is this thing comes with it's own transmitter, so compatibility wouldn't be a problem with ths. might be good especially for those without a2dp.

Look wise I actually like them. Wonder if they will come out in black though.
