Default Weather Watcher Mobile

http://www.singerscreations.com/RSS/Posts/339.asp

"This application will allow you to pull down detailed weather information from weather.com for over 77,000+ cities worldwide. Quickly and easily view your current weather, hourly forecast, daily forecast, detailed forecast, and current severe weather alerts."

This looks like a great weather application, and best of all, it's free. Not too many of them around. :way to go:

This is a nice little program. Nothing too fancy, but I like having the details available to me. I use a simple today plugin (pocket weather), but sometimes I like to know the hourly forcast and detailed forcast. I normally will go to weather.com, so this is great to have. And best of all, works just fine from the SD card! (and FREE)

Weather data seems to be from weather.com

Spb Weather has less text capability, but it has a today plug-in, integration with Spb Pocket Plus and/or Spb Diary, and the ability to choose from many different weather sources if the "scripts" exist, or if you can modify one.

I use them both, plus SBSH Pocket Weather for tons of details and various radar images, etc.

The one negative to WWMobile is the need for CF 2. But, I have it installed already (as much as possible on my storage card), and if you've got it, this is a really handy and simple weather tool.

Interesting.. It uses PIE to render all the data. I have show pictures turned off in PIE so none of the graphics showed up in the weather program. I went to PIE and turned on show pictures and re opened the weather app and the graphics showed up.

Also when i told it to install to the storage card it ignored me and installed to internal memory anyway.

That's funny. I have an 8125, too, and I installed it to my storage card without a hitch. In fact, the first install was "over the air" by downloading the .cab file directly and installing it that way.

hmm. i'll give it another try.
not like it really takes up all that much room. hehe.

It is very nice software. just not sure if it is something I really need. I use spb weather for a quick view of the weather. if I want more detail I go to the national weather service txt based site or the xhtml version of weather.com.
this program does a nice job of formating and displaying the data though.

The only thing you need to get the weather data is some kind of internet connection, be it your phone, active sync pass through, wifi, what ever.. no fees for that data.
