Default Five Applications in One: SportsDo 2.0 Released

http://www.sportsdo.net/

"SportsDo, the software that turns your phone into a personal trainer and tracker giving live performance feedback, has relaunched with new features and a new community portal. SportsDo provides real-time information on your speed, distance, time, calories, gradient and pace. The information is shown on easy-to-read screens or spoken through the phone's earphones. SportsDo is simple to use, stores all the information and generates graphs, charts and traces of performance. Previously split into separate products for different sports, the new SportsDo is ideal for any activity - from running to rafting, from cycling to swimming. Also new is the SportsDo Portal, a live website that shows what SportsDo users around the world are doing right now. Users can choose to broadcast their live progress to the web so that friends and family can watch their progress. The software also automatically compiles a detailed journal of a user's activity on the portal. Each activity is shown with accurate, detailed maps of the route taken. The maps can also be merged with Google Earth's satellite-picture view of the world. If a user takes a picture along the way, that's displayed in the journal too - anchored to the map position where it was taken. SportsDo even remembers the songs you were playing during your activity."

If you previously purchased one of SportsDo's GPS-based sport tracking applications, head over to their site and download the new SportsDo 2.0 release (yes, it's a free upgrade). It brings all five of the company's products (Skido, Snowdo, Rundo, Bikedo, and Cycledo) into one, and also adds a multitude of new features. Check out a couple of screenshots after the break. It looks like a great application.

There's one very important thing missing from their site: The price.

The thing is, not only do you have to buy the software (which at $45 isn't cheap, although I have no objection in principle), but to make full use of the app you need to subscribe to their online service too. I'd like to see them include the basic membership for free.

According to their Join page, they have a Bronze-level membership for free. Incidentally, I just noticed that they also list the price of the software there.

According to my converter program 30 is $56,75 , not $45.

That makes it really too expensive for me I'm afraid.

How does it compare to the likes of MySportTraining, etc.?

Also their site states "Platform

Mobile Phone Software"

Could one single CAB file be installed on both PocketPC AND Smartphone?

Yes, the CAB appears to be a universal installation package for both types of devices.
